If Microsoft had decided to carry the Vista shell forward into later Windows versions, Vibranihorn would suddenly become a perfect “what‑if” blueprint. The interesting part is that Vista’s design language could have evolved in a believable, modern way—it just didn’t, because Microsoft pivoted hard toward Metro → Fluent → Mica.
